Allen is the owner and lead therapist at Bodies in Balance Advanced Muscular Therapy. He has been involved in the healthcare and wellness fields for nearly 30 years. He attended the diagnostic imaging and allied health degree programs at Albert Einstein Medical Center and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and graduated at the top of his class. He began his career as a medical imaging technologist (X-ray/MRI) in 1989. During that time, he worked in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals, operating rooms, trauma ER's, private imaging centers and orthopedic/sports medicine practice.
In 1996, he took a more “hands-on” approach to his work and enrolled at the Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College. After completing the 735 hour program with honors, he transitioned from his imaging career and opened Bodies in Balance Integrated Therapeutics, a clinical and sports massage therapy practice in Scottsdale focused on soft tissue pain, injury rehabilitation and restorative wellness. While he has worked with professional athletes from the NFL and MLB, Ironman triathletes and accomplished dance performers, he largely attends to "everyday athletes" who seek help with painful neuromuscular conditions or want to maintain their structural health, mobility and active lifestyles.
