Red light therapy is a powerful technology that delivers the naturally occurring wavelengths of red and near infrared light to optimize cellular function. Research has shown red light therapy to be a very safe and non-invasive treatment that promotes cellular regeneration, reduces inflammation and pain with no negative side effects. However, treatment may not be appropriate for the following conditions: pregnancy, epilepsy, active cancer lesions, fever/infection, hyperthyroidism and those taking photosensitive medications.

For optimal results, wear nothing! Delivering light to more surface area of your body leads to better light therapy outcomes, but being fully disrobed is not required for effective use. Lighter garments (swimsuits, underwear and socks) may be worn without hampering a treatment, though the covered areas not directly exposed to the light won’t receive full benefits. You may feel a mild, relaxing warmth from the light panels but the frequencies of light contain no harmful UVA/UVB rays that can burn or tan your skin. You can lie down in a private red light therapy room and experience a whole body treatment.
The wavelengths of red light are actually healthy and beneficial for your eyes, however you should never stare directly into the light panel as they are extremely bright. We recommend closing your eyes and meditating, practicing breath work or just enjoying a relaxing bit of quiet time. Protective glasses are available if you prefer to use them.
